bruno brought us out for dinner yesterday at creperie ar-men, located at duxton road. sadly, i forgot to bring my camera and so, didn't have the chance to take pictures of the lovely and delicious crepes i had! hehe. but, the crepes they serve are really good! the restaurant is actually like a shophouse, making it rather quaint. just the way i like it. (: its a wonderful place to just hang out and catch up with friends! although crepes originate from france, the restaurant had a indian chef making the crepes for us! how interesting! haha i guess crepes and roti prata are almost somewhat similar. bruno also ordered cider! initially, i was afraid i would get drunk or something. but i realised that only 5% alcohol was present in it, so i couldn't. (: however, that didn't prevent me from getting red in the face! and very red, in fact! everyone was like pointing out how red i was, and how the white walls behind me contrasted with my face! haha how embarrassing! x) i guess i shouldn't have drank the whole cup! haha but that means i got good blood circulation okay! and that i won't get drunk so easily next time. (: i shared the crepes with carilyn. the savoury one was really good! i forgot what it is called, but it had cheese, onions and ham in it! yummy! the onions tasted really good, surprisingly! the one lois and xiaozheng had tasted very chinese and they somewhat felt cheated! haha. the sweet or dessert crepe wasn't as good though. the almond cream was too sweet. ooh but their whipped cream melts in your mouth in an instant! nice! but the rum and raisin they serve is the best i've tasted so far! you can really taste the rum! well, its a must to return back to that place. (: i had loads of fun and i realised that it's been quite some time since i actually sat down in a restaurant or cafe and had the chance to talk to my girlfriends. i miss them alot. but i'm glad sam's and wee's promos are over! (: can't wait to go out next week! |
