three days of chinese new year or otherwise, a break for me. went visiting on the first day, as i have done every year. i always enjoy the first day of chinese new year. because my family is really big at my dad's side, we usually spend the whole day out visiting. couldn't exactly eat alot of the yummy goodies because of the gig. we went to this house and they had different tasting bak kwa! so interesting! they bought it from aji ichiban and there were different flavours! me and sarah liked the black pepper one! we wanted to steal a few packets so we could eat it later but then, one of the uncles kept looking at us so we didnt. haha. we had a very nice bonding session with our aunties and uncles by telling lame jokes and hearing their anecdotes. then, i went over to my mother's side at night. had delicious hokkien mee, cooked by jeremy! not bad! the usual catching up with one another. (: the second day! spent the morning and early afternoon catching up on all the drama serials i did not watch! haha. after that, i went ice skating with lois, hoymeng, tracy and sarah. super fun! i kept falling down la! :( and now, i got a blue-black on my knee. but it's not as bad as sarah who has like blisters all over her feet. haha and im quite sure hoymeng's butt would be pretty sore too from falling down too much! saw johnson, jrex, alex and jaspers there too! they kept laughing at me and said i was very slow. :( went back to my grandmother's house for chicken curry! yum! third day! the last day i can slack! went to hsiao en's house that day and had lunch with her family. sadly, i couldnt watch i not stupid too with them because of the gig. i was super nervous that night! but i'm glad that quite a number of people of my class came down to support us! thank you! so did my besties, sam and kai and lois! haha that made me somwhat calmer. haha although i forgot my lyrics and sang a bit off rhythm for the first part of the first song, it was a wonderful experience overall and i had alot of fun! (: dominic and the rest of his band did a great job! talented bunch of guys! i am so glad that all my projects are over. whee! but this means that exams are only two weeks away. rahh. |
