okay, a more detailed update on my week. i was too tired last night to update properly. heh. i was given more work to do this week at work, so that kept me occupied for more hours as compared to last week. (: but of course, there was still ample time to surf the net, blog and read my book. oh, i have to mention that i hate typewriters. i have some alignment problem and keep typing on the wrong spot! and the worst thing was, i was typing on an original document. i could tell the lawyer in charge was a little pissed off. but after that, she laughed it off by saying she probably would have done the same thing. she's nice. (: a secretary helped me do everything in the end! sweet! (: took half day off on wednesday. (: needed a break from sitting in that small confined space, staring at the computer screen etc. it was really good, i must say! had a good time catching up with alex at mos burger and starbucks and spent my deserved break shopping with ryan for his stuff. i didnt spend a single cent that day, except on food, where actually all of my money is spent most of the time. x) had burger king with dearest amanda on thursday! i had such a great time catching with her! laughing like crazy and i totally didnt care about returning to work on time. heh. then went for crispy floss egg crepe with my dearest maine and lois! yummy stuff! we bought like the crispy floss egg crepe, the sausage cheese egg crepe, the xxl chicken thingy and oyster mee sua! hahaa total pigging out day! hahaha so much for maine's dieting plans! and the crispy floss egg crepe has taken over our gelare waffles as the next must-eat food every week. usually me and maine would meet up for gelare waffles every tuesday cos it's half priced! but now because of work, i can't meet her in the afternoons anymore. :( so our weekly dates have been subconsciously shifted to thursdays and recently, we just crowned the egg crepe our new must-eat food. haha cos apparently, maine is sick of waffles and they are expensive, despite being half priced. heh. so when we are sick of the egg crepe, we will move back to tuesday's gelare waffles! hahaha how smart! (: but yes, while waiting for dearest lois, me and maine went shopping! that silly girl, she bought something from almost every shop she stepped into. we bought black patent heels! (: happy! hahaha but wait, i shall tell my broken heels story later. lois stayed over at my place after dinner so that we could plan for yf worship. okay now friday was an eventful day. i wore my new pair of heels! (: but guess what. on my way to work, it broke! the whole heel part of the left shoe broke. not only the base, it was the whole chunk! =\ super duper embarrassing. but thank God i was near the toilet so i spent the next 20 minutes in a cubicle, trying to fix it back. at first, i was shocked at how unfortunate i was and frustrated at how lousy my day had started off. hahaha i was like literally hitting the heel on the wall, praying so hard it would stay for at least the next few hours of the day, until i could scoot off to a shoe store to buy a new pair. then i was reminded of the korean dramas and chick lit books i have watched and read, where the girl would either break off the other heel of the other shoe or stay at a corner, trying to fix the heel back desperately before she dies of embarrassment. by then, i couldn't help but laugh at the situation i was in. it was so hilarious. never in my entire life would i have thought it would actually happen to me. finally, i managed to make the heel stay so slowly, i made my way to the office and messaged maine and lois about it. super duper funny. the worst part was, my boss made me run an errand after that. =\ so not my day. so i had to make my way to another office building with my broken heels. i walked really slowly and was like hobbling so unglam-ly. x) the heel actually got detached when i was at the other office building. sigh, highly embarrassing. but oh well, what are the possibilities of me running into the people who stared at me when i was at the most unglam moment of my life? i do hope it's low. but yes, thank God for the nearby shoe store! although it was still closed, there was a saleslady inside so i knocked on the glassdoor, signaling if i could go in and she agreed. so sweet of her! bought a replacement pair of heels and finally ended my agony of hobbling so unglam-ly. thank God for people like the saleslady! a real blessing in times of need! (: went down with maine to change the shoes after work. i couldn't change it, but they offered to fix it. i guess thats good enough. (: went down for yf worship rehearsal after buying our egg crepe again! addictive! heh. rehearsal was really good. i felt that the songs really spoke of what we were trying to bring across. (: went to cartel for very late dinner cum supper with maine and to meet kenji, bj, wenhao, justin and chris. i ordered carbonara and oreo cheesecake! yummy! i was so full after that. =\ not good to eat late. a wonderful end to my second week at work. love meeting up with friends! (: it just makes your day! led yf worship with lois on saturday. thanks to the musicians: serene, danny, brandon, terence and joey! (: and of course, lois dearest! it's really great that i have finally found something that i can serve God in. for the month of october, i would be leading three worships in total: ywf, children's worship and yw. i really pray that the worships i plan and lead would be pleasing to God and that my heart would be right with Him. alright, a start of another week. but thank God for lunch dates again! (: my day brighteners! heh. and what a long post. i think i will have to wear specs soon, seeing from the amount of time i spend staring at the computer screen at work.
