woohoo. it's my last week at work. yayyyyyyyyyyyyyy. (: i can't describe to you how happy i am, really. i can't wait for it to be over so i can spend more time with my friends, going out, reading books, watching korean shows and "intelligent" movies etc. before school officially starts again. my my, time really flies! it's already october! =\ but yes, an update on my week! (: had lunch with maine on tuesday! we went to pastamania to eat, and we had italian soda! nice! (: but the glass was super huge so i couldn't finish it in the end. heh. had lunch with my mummy on wednesday! we had a nice bonding time together! haha guess how we bonded? by going shoe shopping! hahaha! i really wanted this bluish-green charles and keith bag, somewhat similar to charmaine's. and i thought my mum would say no, because i got quite a number of bags that i don't use. but guess what! she actually said okay! haha but i haven't bought it yet. but still, yayness. (: then we had fire drill at work! super fun, i tell you! we all cheated by taking the lift minutes before the alarm went off. and the best part is, this fire drill lasted for an hour! alright, more time wasted! hahaha! so me and three other colleagues went to drink teh tarik and just talk abt office politics and pregnancy. haha quite fun. (: in the end, by the time everything ended, there was only 2 hours left till knock off time. wheee (: okay this is when all my half-day leave comes in. heh. because i wanted and needed to shop for sharyl's present, i took half day off. and also because i couldn't stand being at work for another day. =\ blah. but anyway! i had lunch with clarissa, amanda, deb and serena! awww i miss them so much! was so happy that they actually agreed to meet me for lunch. we ate at thai express and just spent time catching up. after that, serena had to leave for work so the rest of us went to look for sharyl's present. of course, we sidetracked for a while. we walked all the way to millenia walk to visit candy empire! whoaaaa that shop reminds me of some duty-free store! haha so many candies and chocolates and chips! yumyumyum! i kept going ooh and aah! haha because i saw almost all the candy i ate in australia! which i realised, was quite a lot! x) me and my sweet tooth! i bought some candy and walked out from the shop smiling. (: saw inez at her workplace! that place is gorgeous! the interior decor is absolutely beautiful! its called dreamweavers and it's a wedding planner kind of shop. as in, it provides everything you need for a wedding, like invites, souvenirs etc. really dreamy and pretty! (: then we walked to marina square and mango was having 10% off!!! rahhh. but i was so broke laaaa. sigh. i saw this pretty top but it costs $49! oh well. i probably didn't need it anyway. more of a want. x) i went to meet nicklaus for dinner after that. we wanted to eat at pepper lunch but it was too crowded and there was a long queue. so we ended up in yoshinoya. after that, i accompanied him to buy his two colleagues farewell gifts. this guy has like, never shopped before in his life! x) hahaha plan such a low budget for such an expensive gift! he wanted to buy for his colleagues thermos cups, but his budget was like $30. definitely not enough. haha! he got quite a shock when he realised that thermos cups were actually quite ex. so we went around taka looking for suitable gifts for his low budget. finally found pretty mugs. (: and i taught him how to buy gift cards instead of greeting cards because the latter is more ex. really had a good time laughing at him that night. heh. x) sorry nicklaus! then on friday, i took half day off again just to be rebellious. x) had lunch with my favourite cousins, lois and hoymeng! hahaha i actually was contemplating on whether i should take leave but lois decided to make the decision for me by being late so thanks to her, i had to take leave! heh i love you sweetie! (: we went to have sakae sushi buffet! yumyum! i havent had that for a long time and that was the first time that i actually ate so much! haha! and i had so much fun catching up with the two of them. laughed like crazy. i'm so happy they are staying over on friday! :D after that, i went to meet my besties, sam and kaiqi in town! (: love them so much! havent seen them in ages! we went to eat at some hongkong cafe in cineleisure. not bad. (: i wanted to eat century egg porridge, then sam and kai started saying that it was made from horse urine. thanks laaaa! =\ spoil my appetite. hahaha! so i ordered fish porridge instead. it tasted good! (: we ordered some mango shaved ice dessert to share after that. and we were so embarrassed! x) because the dessert came in the form of like a mountain, with mango ice cream on top. so it was rather high and all. we were trying so hard not to make it topple and fall on the table but it actually did! and when it fell, we screamed, like super loudly and everyone in the restaurant looked at us! highly embarrassing! and we had nowhere to hide our faces! x) so bimbotic laaa! the waitress had to come and help us clear the mess. but it was just so typical of us, i guess. always attracting unwanted attention. i love you two lots and we must meet up again alright! hugs! (: went out with alex on saturday to sks books warehouse. that place was huge! there were so many books, cds, cards etc. and the best part was that they were all christian-based! (: and the stuff there were quite reasonably cheap. (: accompanied alex there because he wanted to buy gifts for his sunday school kids for children's day. i saw some good gift ideas there, might go back during the week to buy some for the kids in children's worship. (: after that, he drove me to maine's house to hang out because it was too early for yf. he was playing some sunday school kids' songs in his car stereo and i actually listened to those songs when i was a kid! except mine was in the form of a cassette tape. brought back so much memories! (: i remember when i was young, i listened to the songs everyday to the point where i knew which song would come next! (: hung out at maine's place for a while then left together with her and chris for yf. yf was funfunfun! (: we played games that encouraged us to get to know each other better. had dinner at chomps with justin, maine, merissa, alethia, yingquan and nicklaus after that. the food was good but i was having a headache so i didnt join the rest for dessert. today was children's day! (: singing Jesus loves the little children made me feel like a little kid again! had lunch with maine and nicklaus then we went for ywf. i led worship and i'm really glad that the songs i chose really brought across the message i was trying to tell. had a sharing session with uncle edmund and aunty siew lian. i just pray that God would work in all of us and in the church, that we will come to see that worshipping God should be in spirit and in truth. i can't wait for singing fellowship! x) weird i know, but i'm excited at the thought of singing songs and hymns with the senior adults in church! (: heh. by the way, i didn't know that Jesus loves the little children was a hymn! x) oh well! this sums up my eventful week! (: - Jesus loves the little children all the children of the world red and yellow, black and white they are precious in His sight Jesus loves the little children of the world! |
