time really flies. no more 2006, no longer seventeen. seventeen going on eighteen isn't much of a difference, i mean, it's just a change in numbers. but i want my eighteenth year to be fulfilling. i yearn to do a lot of things, things that i don't give much attention to when i was younger, things that i thought were of low importance. like spending time with my parents and grandparents, having little chats with my sisters, showing my appreciation to my friends and spending time reading God's word. now that im (somewhat) older, i realise that all these are so much more important than anything else. during watchnight service, i prayed that this year, i would have more faith in God and would readily accept His will. not a easy thing at all and i don't expect to achieve that within this year. but step by step, everything in His time. (: i visited my grandfather's and my uncle's grave on tuesday. i really thank God that He has worked in their lives and that they accepted Christ before they died. never in my life would i have thought that my grandfather would actually believe in God. after countless persuasions by my mum, my aunties and even his grandchildren for him to go to church, it seemed as if he did not want to know God at all and i actually gave up all hope. but praise the Lord! he got baptised a few months before he passed away. God is truly wonderful and amazing. whenever i think about my grandfather, i'm happy that He is in heaven with God and that i'll be able to see him when i go there one day. and i guess this is the same for my dad. i'm not going to give up hope this time because i know God does miracles! (: i really pray that my dad goes back to church with us. i remember when i was younger, i wished that my whole family could sit together in one pew, just like other families, and worship God together. something i really pray will happen.
