i'm back from perth! (: it was a good break, i must say. being in a different country helps to clear the mind and allows you to relax. despite perth being a city where shops close at 5pm and the nightlife isn't as vibrant as singapore's, it's not that depressing (that's what my dad said on the first day) and dreary. we got to spend more family time together, especially at night. long walks back to the hotel were quite memorable actually. then again, maybe it's just me who enjoys such simple pleasures. (: we managed to visit the aquarium of western australia (aqwa) which is a very cool place. sharks, stingrays, turtles, jellyfish etc. we also managed to go to fremantle and subiaco markets on saturday. they sell everything there, from fruits and flowers to little knick knacks like boomerangs and dreamcatchers. i didn't do a lot of shopping this time, although it was sale season. the weather was lovely; cold and windy, bright sun and clear skies. and the ocean view was absolutely breathtaking! i wouldn't mind living in a place like that. very good for retirement. (: anyway, photos under visuals! (: some of the photos may be a little blurry, that's because i used my camera phone. but hey, i'm surprised most of them turned out quite good. |
