WL Liew: womannnn!! WL Liew: can u pls update your blog!! only because you asked, wei loong. :) i don't really know what to update about though. everyone whom i know (or at least i think i know) reads my blog has already been updated one way or another about my current life situation. but for the sake of this entry, i shall just do a short paragraph. so basically, this is my third week here in windy wellington, new zealand. lectures and tutorials have been interesting and i just handed up my first assignment last tuesday! i'm coping well in school, a little behind in my law readings but that can be solved, thanks to the easter break. :) so far, i have done my own laundry, cooked dinner (the menu is usually pie/macaroni/fried rice), washed the toilet, vacuumed my room, packed my bed and ate breakfast everyday! quite an accomplishment, since these are things i don't do back home. :) the weather has been lovely for the past few weeks with the occasional wind that drives me crazy. haven't had the chance to make many friends yet, but i'm sure it will get better in the months to come! for now, i have sarah (my sister) and sarah jane (a fellow singaporean!) to keep me company and sane. :) found a church to worship in and i like how the church reminds me of zion. the hymns, the senior folks and the kids (although the kids in zion are a lot fewer). i guess you can say that i'm settling down fine. but i really do miss home and everyone a whole lot. i cannot describe the loneliness and sadness i feel everytime i walk into my apartment and the silence just fills me. oh well. but other than that, everything is good. photos of my room and first week here can be found in visuals. :) thank you to everyone who have been replying my emails without fail and talking to me online. it really helps to know that you all are concerned about me and encouraging me always. :) i miss every single one of you so much, more than you can ever imagine. love. |
